Our family Katie Ledecky

That title goes to Grace Ellen, who had another outstanding season swimming for her high school team (see attached pdf).  Then in a meet for all local school districts she walked away with four badges. You go girl!

Going way back

Joyce's brother, Jack, sent a scanned picture from the late 70s of his and our kids sitting on MamMaw's couch for a yearly Easter picture. I remember it well. It drives home the point that photography is in a different world today. The picture was taken with an SLR camera that was at the apex of cameras in that day. Now a smartphone easily gives a picture of immensely better quality. Wow--I love it.

A reminder that you can see examples of those today pictures through the link at the top of the column to the right. I will add to it often, so remember to return here often.

Go Bills!

Sort of. Joy is a fan, but not Dew. I take that back---the other Dew is a fan. He and his father have first row seats for every game, and that results in some video and photos. A photo with Peter cheering is a regular feature of local McDonald's commercials. And locally there was a video of Dew getting a ball from the quarterback after a touchdown. Dew is amazing. Whatever sporting event he attends he comes home with some memento. His bedroom is becoming jam packed.

There's a game today. That surely means a new memento.

Update: Sure enough, Dew came away with a pair of receiver gloves from the San Francisco game. They were the pink ones worn by wide receiver Justin Hunter seen in this picture. You go, Dew!
